For a FREE and fun family day out, visit Redwings Caledcott and meet friendly rescued horses, ponies, donkeys and mules nose-to-nose.

Redwings Caldecott has been awarded a TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence for the fifth year in a row and is the rescue charity's largest visitor centre with over 100 residents ready and waiting to meet you- from gentle Shire Fox and his best friend, Bungle to cheeky Shetland Sampson.

And if you love donkeys, this is the place for you! Redwings Caldecott is home to a whole herd of donkeys - over 30 in fact! - including dainty Adoption Star donkey Esther!

The centre also offers a host of fun activities to enjoy including pony grooming, quiz trails and guided tours with Redwings' friendly team who offer a fascinating insight into these beautiful animals, their rescue stories and the charity's work.

After exploring the paddock walks, visitors can enjoy hot or cold refreshments in the brand new Oliver Twist café and pick up a souvenir from their visit in the new gift shop too. Coach, community groups and school visits are very welcome, as are dogs so don't forget to bring your pooch along for a day out too.

Open Saturdays and Sundays from 25th July 2020.
Opening times 10.30am to 3.00pm by pre-booked appointment only – please visit for booking details.
Dogs on leads are welcome.
Redwings Caldecott is a must-see for all donkey and mule lovers with a herd of over 30 of the adorable, long-eared creatures! Among the gorgeous rescued residents, you can enjoy cuddles with cute little donkey Esther who was rescued from the horrific conditions of Spindle Farm in Amersham, Buckinghamshire, in 2008. Handsome Shire cross Fox and cheeky Shetland pony Sampson can’t wait to meet you either!
*** Please note that due to Covid-19 our café and gift shop may be closed. Please check our website for the latest information. Public toilets will be open and available and there is a fully accessible WC. ***
To help support us during this challenging time you might like to consider sponsoring one of the charity’s adorable Adoption Stars. Available from just £15 per year, you can adopt for yourself or as a thoughtful gift for a friend or loved one. Please ask a staff member about this during your visit and they will be happy to assist you.
There are around 10 disabled parking spaces in the newly resurfaced carpark with a central concrete pathway leading to a fully accessible visitor reception. The wide grass tracks around the main paddocks and the gravel track around the stable yard can be negotiated in a wheelchair however the one way system may make some pathways less accessible than usual. A staff member will be happy to offer advice regarding this.
