During Heritage Open Days 2025, visitors to Anna Sewell House in Great Yarmouth will be able to explore the building that Anna Sewell was born in and learn about its history. Discover more about the famous book Black Beauty, which is one of the most-read books of all time, with over 50 million copies sold worldwide, enjoy looking through some vintage copies of the book and view some original hand-painted illustration slides produced for the first edition. Visitors will also be able to learn about Anna and the book's influence on horse welfare, how Redwings Horse Sanctuary are continuing that today and take a look at a very special edition of the book that will be printed this year in partnership with the UEA. No pre-booking necessary
