Forgotten Inns and Taverns of Great Yarmouth - Guided Walk in GREAT YARMOUTH, Great Yarmouth - Great Yarmouth

Forgotten Inns and Taverns of Great Yarmouth Guided Heritage Walk

About

We’ll be offering a trial of a new walk we’re working on ‘Forgotten Inns & Taverns of Great Yarmouth’ starting at 11am. This will be free of charge as it’s a walk we’re still working on, hopefully ready to go live for 2023!

To join, come along to the Fair and find us as that's where we'll start our walk.

In 1908 there were 295 licenced properties in Great Yarmouth but by 2022 this number had reduced to 42. This walk takes us to 'parts that other walks cannot reach' as it explores forgotten inns and taverns of the town. Discover the inn run by one of the Pilgrim Fathers and the tavern where Mary Bennett was served hours before she was found murdered on the South Beach.

This walk is FULLY BOOKED! Look out for it in our schedule for 2023!

Starting point: GYLHAS History Fair at St Gorge's Theatre - Find us inside!

Approx: 90 minutes
