Fairground frights, spooky spectacles and a hauntingly good time are guaranteed in Great Yarmouth this October when the seaside town transforms into a Halloween hotspot packed with fang-tastic family events. From free fireworks to award-winning scare nights, a circus Spooktacular, pumpkin picking plus, fright-free fun for little ones, the coastal resort has something for everyone.

Fairground Frights

The award-winning Fairground Frights returns to Great Yarmouth’s famous Pleasure Beach this October for six thrilling nights of fearsome fun. Featuring eerie costumed actors, sinister surprises, scare mazes, Halloween tunes and cocktails it will run from 5:30pm to 9pm from Saturday 25th October to Friday 31st October 2025 (excluding Monday 27^th).

All the attraction’s 20 plus fun-filled rides will be Halloween themed with wristbands for this event costing £26.50 per person if booked online or £28.50 on the gate for unlimited access to all rides, scare mazes and attractions (height restrictions apply). The event is suitable for ages 10 and over. The Pleasure Beach will also be open for daytime fun from the 25th of October to 2nd of November 12 - 5pm, with wristbands from £23 for ages seven and above and £16 for ages 3 - 6. Halloween Spooktacular at the Hippodrome Great Yarmouth

Hosted by Jack Jay and the comedian Johnny Mac, The Hippodrome Circus have a spectacular Halloween Spooktacular the ultimate fun family spooky show filled with laughs and jaw dropping circus stunts.

It will showcase a packed line-up of amazing acrobatics, daring stunts, aerialists, dance and comedy all set to a spooky theme this half term. The incredible lighting and special effects bring this historic venue to life in a performance that will culminate in a huge Halloween party dance along for all the family. The audience is encouraged to come in Halloween costumes. Free double beachfront fireworks display with street entertainment

Great Yarmouth’s central beach is the setting for a huge double-hitter fireworks display on 29^th October. Making the most of the expansive shoreline setting, two impressive pyrotechnic shows will start simultaneously at the Big Wednesday Double Fireworks event, with street entertainers and a party atmosphere set to delight the half term crowds. The free street entertainment will start at 5pm and the firework displays at 6pm.

Great Yarmouth’s Sealife gets a scary makeover
Families visiting Great Yarmouth’s Sealife over half term will be encouraged to complete some spook-splash-tic magical challenges throughout the aquarium and to help Serafina the witch look after her ocean home and fellow sea creatures. They’ll also be plenty of photo opportunities and games. Fireworks and racing at the Yarmouth Stadium
An afternoon and early evening of fantastic family fun awaits at Yarmouth Stadium on Sunday 2^nd November where they’ll be stock car and banger racing from 4pm followed by a gigantic fireworks display. Family tickets £50 (two adults and three children), adult tickets are £20, kids aged 5-14 £8 and under 5 years go free. Further information here

Joyland Halloween Theme Nights

Joyland theme park in Great Yarmouth is offering a host of Halloween fun for half term. Designed for younger children, it will feature trick-or-treating, spooky photo opportunities, children's face painting and Halloween craft. Taking place during half term week from 7pm to 9pm, with prices from £20 per person. Young and old alike can enjoy unlimited rides on the legendary Super Snails, a big draw for visitors since the attraction opened in 1949. https://www.joyland.org.uk

Hirsty’s Family Fun Park’s Halloween Hoot

Pumpkins take centre stage at Hirsty's Family Fun Park's Halloween Hoot open from 10am to 4pm on 18^th and 19^th October and from 25^th October to 2^nd November. Families can pick their own pumpkin from Hirsty's pumpkin patch and carve a spooky face in the covered carving area. There will also be a Halloween theme to the farm attraction’s ‘Mega Maze’ (a giant corn maze), plus the chance to make the most of the onsite activities including a barrel train, zip wire, hay bale mountain, crazy croquet and jumping pillows.
