SPRINGTIME FUN AND SEASIDE TREATS IN GREAT YARMOUTH THIS EASTER

Alongside events planned for this Easter we also have many attractions with a myriad of fun things for all the family to enjoy, from thrilling to chilling there is so much to do.

At the Merrivale Model Village you can roam the English countryside in miniature, play a round of the crazy golf course and take in the spring colours in the gardens too. A little further the Golden Mile try the thrilling rides at the Pleasure Beach not forgetting the historic roller coaster one of the only 2 remaining wooden roller coasters in the UK.

An abolute must see is Great Yarmouth’s Hippodrome Circus with the swashbuckling Hippodromes Pirates Live show! the world-famous purpose built circus will stage an on-and-off the water show combining slapstick, daring trapeze and circus performances with light displays and synchronised swimming.

The Wellington Pier offers video games, simulator rides and a huge array of coin operated machines as well as six bowling lanes.

For smaller children a day out at Joyland is a real treat offering the historic Snails and the Tyrolean tubs plus many other rides to suit the younger children or the young at heart.

Moving away from the Golden Mile if you fancy a day at the races Great Yarmouth Racecourse is a fantastic experience for all the family to enjoy. Combining sporting action, and a scenic backdrop for a unique day out with friends and family.

If you are looking for an adrenaline fuelled evening, Yarmouth Stadium has a number of Motor racing events this Easter, in addition the stadium also plays host to Greyhound racing.

Why not take time out to visit one of our theatres or cinemas with the Arc Cinema on the Golden Mile, the Palace Cinema in Gorleston and for theatre buffs we have the Edwardian Pavilion Theatre overlooking the famous Gorleston beach and St. Georges Theatre a Grade I listed building in Great Yarmouth so check out their websites for What’s On during Easter.

For a chilling but thrilling experience visit Thrigby Hall Wildlife Gardens and walk and talk to the animals although don't get too close to the tiger!! and learn about Thrigby’s amazing international breeding programmes.

Visit Hemsby & Newport a little further along the coast packed with thrilling rides, bowling, crazy golf, indoor fun venues and many tasty food outlets.

Carrying on along the coast is the beautiful village of Winterton with its amazing dunes and pretty picture box houses. Perfect for a spectacular spring walk.

For a really chilling experience visit one of the many inland villages and discover the beautiful broads and countryside, perhaps take a day boat out and slowly meander through the lush reeds and beautiful countryside and stop at a pub for a bite to eat.
