Lifeguards and lifeboat services

The beaches at Gorleston-on-Sea, Great Yarmouth and Hemsby are all patrolled by RNLI lifeguards from June to September between the flags. In addition, there are three local lifeboat services in the Great Yarmouth area.

Independent lifeboat crews are based at Hemsby and Caister-on-Sea and the RNLI is based in Gorleston.

We hope you won't need their services while you're away, but it's good to know they're there if you do.
